Amid Newcastle United’s current takeover news it is being forgotten that the club do already have some loanees on their books who might be considering permanent transfers to the club.
Danny Rose, Jetro Willems, and Nabil Bentaleb would all, seemingly, welcome permanent moves to Tyneside.
Valentino Lazaro is another. The Austrian international is on loan at St James’ Park from Inter Mila and there have been suggestions that a permanent deal could be in the offing. The Sun reported at the time of the deal that the entire cost could eventually be worth £20 million.

But even if Newcastle decide they want Lazaro, it seems that his parent club have other plans.
SportMediaset reports, as relayed by Calciomercato, that Inter Milan are hoping to lower the financial cost of a deal for Premier League transfer target Timo Werner of RB Leipzig by including Lazaro in the deal.
The right-sided star spent the early part of his career at Leipzig’s sister club Red Bull Salzburg before starring in Germany with Hertha Berlin.
Inter are hoping this could tempt Leipzig into accepting a lower cash fee for Werner, whilst also getting Lazaro off their books.
So it would remain to be seen if Newcastle decide to dig their heels in on their buying option post-takeover.
