French outlet Le10Sport have claimed that Everton can sign Lille defender Zeki Celik for a bargain £13.5million in the January transfer window, but the Toffees face competition from AS Roma.
Celik, 23, has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League on numerous occasions – with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly keen in the summer only to keep Serge Aurier and lure Matt Doherty to London from Wolves.
Everton have been using centre-back Mason Holgate on the right side of the defence, before Seamus Coleman returned from injury. Jonjoe Kenny continues to struggle for game time under Carlo Ancelotti.
Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week on Twitter that Everton and Roma have been in talks with the player’s agent. A new report from Le10Sport state that Everton are keen, and can get Celik for just £13.5million.

TBR’s view – £13.5m a bargain for Everton
Everton need a right-back with Kenny struggling to make a breakthrough into the side and Coleman now well into his thirties and picking up numerous injuries. Celik, nine years younger than Coleman, is ideal.
Impressive in the Champions League last season and Europa League this time around, at £13.5million give his age and a fully-fledged Turkey international, Celik is a bargain. An absolute no-brainer for Everton.
