Turkish international Emre Mor reportedly wants to make a move to Leeds United this month, according to reports.
It is reported by Sporx that the Celta Vigo-owned star ‘wants to be transferred’ to Leeds. However, Leeds are said to be ‘cautious’ about a deal considering his poor form.
Mor is currently on loan at Leeds-despised Galatasaray, where he has failed to register a goal or assist in 16 appearances this season.
Takvim recently reported that Galatasaray attempted to cancel his loan spell but his Spanish parent club rebuffed the idea, as he is not in their plans for a La Liga survival battle. Celta, who reportedly (Football Espana) paid Dortmund €13 million (£11m) rising to €25 million (£23m) for Mor’s services in 2017, are therefore open to potential alternatives if the rest of the Turkish side’s bill is picked up.

The YEP reported last week that Leeds are looking at a striker playing in Europe who has scored goals at international level, but is not known if Mor is indeed the striker in question. The Danish-born forward has scored once in 15 caps for Turkey.
Sporx also reports that Leeds’ promotion rivals Brentford are keen on Mor and that could prove a stumbling block to the club’s plans.
Whilst Mor may want a move to Leeds, plenty of fans have been less than impressed with the rumour. Not only is his Galatasaray connection putting many off, given the fractured history between the two clubs, but he has struggled for form in recent times.
Leeds may not want to take a risk on a player who is not in the best form and it would seem Southampton’s Che Adams is indeed their main target.
