Leeds United missed out on signing the Republic of Ireland youth international Ryan Nolan on transfer deadline day and now it seems he could be heading elsewhere.
As reported by FC Inter News, it seemed that Leeds had agreed a deal to sign both Nolan and Argentine striker Facundo Colidio from Inter Milan’s Primavera side. However, despite a three-year deal reportedly being in the offing, Nolan rejected the move as he was set to be loaned out to Scottish side Kilmarnock.
Colidio has since gone elsewhere, joining Belgian side Sint-Truiden on loan. Now it seems Nolan has a new location.
As reported by FC Inter News, Serie C club Arezzo have agreed on a deal with inter to sign the player, with the Nerazzurri set to hold a 50% resale clause in the deal. The player is now the only stumbling block to the deal happening, as he is reportedly hopeful of a move to a Serie B side.

Arezzo have a good relationship with Inter Milan and are clearly hopeful they can convince the Irishman into the move.
TBR’s View
In the immediate future it appears missing out on Nolan on deadline day has not harmed Leeds anyway. The club appeared prepared to have him out on loan for his first year at the club so seeing him go elsewhere may not seem like an issue.
However, if Leeds had any hope of going back in for Nolan further down the line a transfer could certainly be a blow to that potential plan.
One thing that is for sure, is that Nolan is a top young talent and whoever does end up securing his long-term services could be on to a winner.
