Callum Robinson’s transfer to Sheffield United this summer looks set to leave Aston Villa enjoying a cash windfall.
The attacker joined the newly-promoted Blades last week for a fee reported by talkSPORT to be in the region of £8 million.
It is certainly great business from Preston North End. As reported by the Lancashire Evening Post, Robinson cost Preston just £170,000 when he joined from Aston Villa.

Now it seems that Aston Villa are set to pick up even more money from Robinson.
Robinson came through the youth ranks at Bodymoor Heath. He was one of the fabled young stars that helped Aston Villa to NextGen Series success in 2013. But he never made the grade to first-team football at Villa Park and eventually left for Deepdale.
But clearly, Aston Villa felt Robinson could eventually make a name for himself.
As reported by Lancashire Live, Aston Villa had a sell-on clause in Robinson’s deal at Preston. The percentage amount of that clause was not unveiled by the report but Aston Villa have clearly done well to secure some financial gain from the Irish international’s ability to rebuild his career.
