Arsenal fans may have been given further reason to wonder if Alexandre Lacazette may be on the move this summer, with Spanish outlet AS reporting that the striker is said to be delighted by Atletico Madrid’s interest in him.
Lacazette’s future already had a question mark seemingly hanging over it. ESPN reported this week that Arsenal had told Atletico and Juventus that he would be available for around £40 million.

It was suggested that the Frenchman was planning to seek clarification from Mikel Arteta over his role with Arsenal amid doubts over his future.
And based on a new report from AS, it would appear that Lacazette may have one eye on a potential move away.

AS claims that Lacazette has been left delighted by Atletico’s interest, and has made them his first choice should he leave. It is also suggested that agreeing personal terms are unlikely to be a problem should a bid advance to that stage.
TBR View: Huge hurdle remains in front of Atletico
It is clearly a boost that Lacazette is seemingly interested in joining Atletico. However, it would appear that the La Liga still face one significant hurdle that they must clear.
ESPN’s report noted that neither Diego Simeone’s side or Juventus had been prepared to meet Arsenal’s asking price for Lacazette.
That situation may perhaps change as the deadline edges closer. But Arsenal arguably have little reason to drop their demands in the coming weeks.
That may change if Lacazette expresses a real desire to leave perhaps. But as things stand, Arsenal appear to be in a strong position – even if Lacazette is delighted to hear that Atletico want him.
