Arsenal have become the latest Premier League side to join the race to sign Ryan Christie from Celtic, according to a report from 90min.
January could be a pivotal month for Mikel Arteta. The Gunners have bounced back from a torrid run to record back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

Scoring goals has been a problem for Arsenal. They have found the back of the net 16 games in as many games. So unsurprisingly, it appears that they have set their sights on adding more quality in the attacking areas.
According to a recent report from Football London, a creative midfielder is one of the items on Arsenal’s January shopping list.

And 90min has now claimed that Christie is on their radar. The Celtic star is reportedly being monitored by a host of Premier League sides, including Leicester City, Newcastle United and Southampton.
It is noted that the 25-year-old’s contract expires next year. And Celtic have, so far, been unable to agree fresh terms.
Arsenal reportedly view Christie as a potential cheaper option than the likes of Houssem Aouar.
TBR View: Difficult to see Arsenal making Christie move
Celtic will have no interest in letting Christie leave on the cheap. He has arguably not been quite as impressive this season, and yet he has still managed to score four goals and contribute 11 assists in all competitions.
Arsenal have had some success when making a signing from Celtic in recent years. Kieran Tierney – who cost £25 million, according to Sky Sports – has proved to be an outstanding addition.
Christie has the talent to do well in the Premier League. But it is surely fair to say that he is not the marquee name many Arsenal fans will be hoping for when it comes to signing a creative midfielder.
