Report claims Arsenal interested in Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard

The 22-year-old looks like being extremely sought-after during the summer.

A report from the Daily Mail has claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing Celtic hotshot Odsonne Edouard.

The Hoops talisman has been in fine form this season; bagging 23 goals and registering 16 assists in all competitions.

Arsenal are currently languishing in tenth place in the Premier League and their squad might see some change during the summer.

Some of the club’s big earners like Pierre-Emerick Aubmeyang, Mesut Ozil and Alexandre Lacazette could be offloaded to lower the wage bill.

The report claims that Arsenal legend Thierry Henry is a big fan of Edouard, who would cost in the region of £30 million.

It is also thought that the Gunners would face competition for the striker. Leicester want to sign him as Brendan Rodgers seeks a reunion with a player he signed for Celtic.

Edouard is a natural-born goalscorer who could be a brilliant signing for the Gunners.

In six under-21 internationals for France, he has bagged himself 11 goals. His record for Celtic is just as brilliant and he clearly knows how to score goals.

During his two years at Parkhead, he has bagged 56 goals and helped himself to 28 assists, having arrived from PSG.

If he gets his way and builds the team he wants, Edouard could be ideal.

The technically gifted player scores different types of goals and for £30 million he could prove an ideal signing.

At 22, there is still lots more to come from the Frenchman and, as a result, Arsenal would be wise to land the youngster ahead of any other interested parties.
