Tottenham Hotspur are now looking for a new permanent manager following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese replaced Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs in November 2019, leading the north Londoners to a sixth-placed finish in his debut season in charge.
However, Tottenham have struggled this season, currently five points adrift of the Champions League places, and suffered an embarrassing Europa League exit to Dinamo Zagreb in March.

Mourinho and coaches Joao Sacramento, Nuno Santos, Carlos Lalin and Giovanni Cerra were all relieved of their duties on Monday, with Ryan Mason taking the reins until the end of the season.
Several top coaches have been linked with the Spurs reins and, according to the Evening Standard, Lille boss Christophe Galtier is a contender.
The 54-year-old has turned his club into Ligue 1 title contenders over the past few season and, after 33 games played, they sit top of the table, one point ahead of Paris Saint-Germain.
Galtier was left angered after Mourinho snapped up two of his coaches – Sacramento and Santos – after taking the Spurs job in 2019.
“Everyone has their own way of doing things. It’s very classy, anyway, very classy to act like that,” Galtier said sarcastically at the time, as quoted by The Independent.
“I was angry; the timing isn’t good. There are ways to do things. Regardless, what matters is that I agree with the decision of the president [Gerard Lopez].”

And so, Mourinho’s reign at Spurs is over, leaving without making much of an impact in terms of style of play and results.
Galtier has worked wonders at Lille and to have them top of the table despite PSG having the players they have is quite some feat, especially if they do go all the way.
Were he to be appointed, it would certainly have an element of karma about it, given how two of his coaches were nabbed by Mourinho.
