According to reports, Christian Eriksen could stay at Tottenham until the summer transfer window. The Independent has reported that Inter Milan, who were favourites for his signature, are a way off the club’s valuation of the midfielder.
Spurs see the Dane as being worth around £25 million and Inter have reportedly offered just £8-10 million. The English club sees this offer as insulting and are not keen on letting him go to the Italian club unless they seriously up their offer.

The report also suggests that French champions PSG are willing to pay Tottenham’s asking price. However, the 27-year-old had his heart set on a move to Milan and was excited by the prospect of working under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.
Jose Mourinho is now left in a difficult position. He will want to move Eriksen on as soon as possible so he can re-invest and start building his team for the future. There are also likely to be pressures from above not to lose the Denmark international for nothing in the summer.

His contract expires in June and it is hard to see him signing a new deal at the North London club. Those involved at Tottenham will have to lower their asking price for a move to Inter to materialise this month.
If he moves on for free in the summer, it would prove to be a steal for whichever club snapped him up. Eriksen is one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe and would seriously improve most top European sides.
