Report: Chelsea plan offer for Arsenal and Spurs target Gabriel Jesus
Chelsea have informed the representatives of Gabriel Jesus that they plan to make an offer for the striker, according to Sport, in news that may catch the eye of both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
Jesus continues to be one of the main talking points of the summer window. Certainly, it seems that Arsenal are in pole position to sign the Manchester City star.
Reports claimed some time ago that personal terms were all but agreed for the £51.5 million-rated Brazilian. However, they face plenty of competition.

More recently, it has been suggested that Tottenham have been in contact with his agents. And there have even been reports that an offer has now been made.
But there is still a chance that Jesus could move elsewhere in the Premier League. In fact, Sport reports that Chelsea now want the 25-year-old.
They have reportedly informed his representatives that a bid will be made. However, the Blues are aware that they are underdogs against the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham.
Chelsea plan Gabriel Jesus offer
You can understand why the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham may have had reservations about meeting Jesus’ asking price. His contract expires next summer. So paying over £50 million for him would have been a gamble.
But they have left the door open for rival interest. Real Madrid also want Jesus. Meanwhile, Chelsea have now entered the running.
It remains to be seen how the Blues approach the transfer market under new owners. But you would imagine that they would love to make a statement in their first window.
Signing Jesus would certainly be that. He is an ‘exceptional‘ striker and has many of Europe’s heavyweights chasing his signature.
Certainly, if Arsenal miss out, they will need to pull something special out of the bag later in the window.
