Chelsea could be set to trump West Ham and beat them to the signing of Estoril star, Chiquinho, according to fresh reports.
The Portuguese news outlet, Record, claims the Blues are interested in landing the 20-year-old. Chiquinho, who plays predominantly in a left attacking midfield role, is also wanted by West Ham.

Any move for Chiquinho is likely to set either club back a hefty fee. Estoril will be keen to keep hold of their most prestigious talent but will know that they will have to sell if someone puts the money up.
That shouldn’t be a problem for either Chelsea or the Hammers, who will be armed with summer war chests once again as they look to strengthen their ranks.
Chiquinho has made a big impact this season despite only scoring a single goal for Estoril. However, he has only been with the first-team a matter of months. He scored six times for the under-23s prior to moving up the ranks.
Another young star for Frank Lampard? – TBR View
Frank Lampard will be desperate to splash some cash this summer but it appears the Blues are looking at younger players.
Lampard has proven he can work with young talent this year. The likes of Mason Mount, Fikayo Timori, and Tammy Abraham have all been given big chances under the former England man.

If Chelsea adds another youngster such as Chiquinho, then it appears they are adopting a clear strategy under Lampard.
However, it seems a fairly risky move this one. Given the youngster is only just getting used to first-team football, Chelsea should be conscious of spending too big a sum.
For West Ham, on the other hand, they need to make sure they get things spot on in the market. Signing a relative unknown from Portugal, then, might not be the best way to go!
