TalkSPORT claim that West Ham rejected a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek on deadline day – after being offered the England ace.
Loftus-Cheek, 25, returned to Chelsea at the end of last season after a difficult loan with Fulham. In 32 games, he scored once and had no assists.
The England international failed to prevent Fulham going down. This summer, it was clear Loftus-Cheek needed to find a new club on Tuesday.
The report, from TalkSPORT’s Alex Crook, claims West Ham were offered the chance to sign the £60,000-a-week (Spotrac) midfielder.
However, West Ham chose to reject bringing in the ex-Palace loanee – instead signing Nikola Vlasic and Alex Kral on the final day of the window.

Loftus-Cheek to West Ham: Right decision made on Chelsea ace
It is easy to say that West Ham need depth as they prepare to embark on a Europa League campaign. The signing of Loftus-Cheek would have helped.
But after the addition of Vlasic – who can play on either flank or as a 10 – and Kral, who is slightly more defensive, gives West Ham plenty of cover.
Loftus-Cheek is a good player, but one that needs to find the right home – a permanent home. He is on big wages, and needs a reboot.
The midfielder might be better off going abroad, regaining his confidence and then having another crack at the Premier League.
A move is still possible – the Turkish and Russian windows remain open. But West Ham were right not to bring him to the London Stadium.
