Report: Championship club want swap West Ham deal, including £20m-rated star

West London Sport have claimed that Championship side Queens Park Rangers are open to agreeing a player-plus-cash deal that involves Jordan Hugill and £20million-rated playmaker Eberechi Eze.

Hugill, 28, has been in excellent form for QPR after joining Mark Warburton’s side on loan from West Ham last summer. He has scored 15 goals in 41 appearances for the Championship side.

He played just three times for West Ham following his £8million (Mail) move from Preston, but now it appears the Hammers could find some use for the target man after all – and that is, by selling him.

Indeed, QPR are keen to sign Hugill and with West Ham eyeing England Under-21 international Eze – Warburton’s side are willing to let West Ham sign Eze if Hugill is included in a player-plus-cash deal.

TBR’s view – What is a fair deal?

West Ham can hardly expect the £8million valuation for Hugill that they paid in January 2018. But perhaps around half of that figure would be fair for a striker that scored 13 times in the Championship last term.

If West Ham are handed the chance to sign Eze for £15million plus Hugill, then the Hammers have absolutely got to take it. If QPR are open to such a move, it is a no brainer for the Hammers in a move that suits all.
