Report: Champions League club has ramped up talks over £200k-a-week Tottenham ace

Tottenham Hotspur are currently trying to find a transfer solution for Tanguy Ndombele.

The Spurs record signing remains surplus to Antonio Conte’s requirements after returning from his Lyon loan.

Ndombele, along with Giovani Lo Celso, Sergio Reguilon and Harry Winks, have reportedly been training individually.

However, it looks as though the £200,000-a-week midfielder has several high-profile admirers.

French outlet Footmercato has listed no fewer than 10 clubs who have reportedly been eyeing Ndombele’s signature.

Marseille, Real Betis, Villarreal, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Everton, Bayer Leverkusen, AC Milan, Napoli and Galatasaray have apparently been keeping tabs on the Tottenham man.

But now, two clubs have reportedly ramped up their efforts to sign Ndombele – Napoli and Villarreal.

Both would like to take the £63million man on a loan deal with an option to buy, added the report.

Napoli, who play in the Champions League next season, will lose Fabian Ruiz to Paris Saint-Germain soon.

Meanwhile, Villarreal boss Unai Emery is reportedly a big fan of Ndombele.

Spurs on the right track – TBR View

Tottenham have done superbly in the summer transfer window, bringing in six new signings with a seventh on the way.

But now, Spurs need to offload some of their fringe players before they can look to make more acquisitions.

And Ndombele, the joint-highest earner at Tottenham, is one whose future needs to be sorted in the next few weeks.

Spurs would probably rather sell outright or have a loan with an obligation to buy.

Nonetheless, a loan with option to buy will probably do if they can’t find someone willing to do the above options.

Then, Tottenham will have to see how much the interested clubs would be willing to contribute salary-wise.

There’s a lot to discuss but at least Spurs seem to be on the right track in terms of interest in Ndombele.
