Cenk Tosun is reportedly happy at Everton despite playing a bit-part role. According to Turkish Football, Tosun will reject a move back to Turkey in favour of staying in Merseyside.
Tosun’s family is settled in England and his wife has just given birth to his son. Tosun will stay at Everton and fight for his place. The other option discussed was a return to Eintracht Frankfurt but there has been no offer from the German club.
The Turkey international joined Everton in January 2018 as a big-money signing under Sam Allardyce. But life in England has not been straightforward for Tosun. He netted five times in 14 games in his first year but failed to kick on.

Many tipped Tosun for an impressive second season in the Premier League but he struggled under Marco Silva. With just four goals last term, the 28-year-old is failing to live up to his price tag.
But rather than quit Everton before the European window closes, Tosun is determined to turn things around. He is yet to play this season but could get his chance against Lincoln City tonight.
TBR’s view
If Silva selects Tosun in the EFL Cup, he needs to show just what he can do. Moise Kean is now on Everton’s books and Silva has traditionally preferred starting Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison in the centre-forward role ahead of Tosun.
He still has time to turn things around at Everton but he needs to find his form from somewhere. Unless a terrific performance against Lincoln earns him a chance, Tosun is unlikely to get the minutes he needs to impress.
