Celtic are one of the teams to have made an approach to sign Nathanael Mbuku, according to a report from French outlet Foot Mercato.
Mbuku has made 13 appearances in Ligue 1 for Reims this season. He has scored one goal and provided one assist. And it appears that his development is attracting attention.

According to Foot Mercato, Celtic and Parma want the 18-year-old. In fact, it is claimed that the pair have both made approaches in the last few days.
Foot Mercato adds that Lille have also expressed an interest. It is suggested however, that they are looking to make their move during the summer.
The report adds that Reims want around £7.2 million (€8 million) for the teenager. It is not yet clear what Celtic make of that reported asking price.

Mbuku looks to be an exciting talent, who has the ability to play almost anywhere in attacking areas. He has predominantly played on the left wing for Reims.
But he is also comfortable playing up front. He scored seven goals in just 11 appearances in his first year in France’s under-18 side.
That record looks particularly impressive when you consider that Odsonne Edouard managed four in nine at the same level earlier in his career.
So perhaps Celtic may be hoping that they could be uncovering another gem from France in Mbuku.
Certainly, if he proves to be anywhere near as impressive as Edouard, he could prove an absolute steal for any club at £7.2 million.
