Report: Celtic want Bright Osayi-Samuel, Neil Lennon wants deal this summer

Celtic are hopeful of bringing QPR winger Bright Osayi-Samuel to the club, but the report also makes it clear there is some confusion over what type of deal that might be. 

The Scottish Sun is claiming that the 22-year-old is a major target for Celtic, with head of recruitment Gary Penrice pushing the move, as he is a former scout at QPR and helped sign the player from Blackpool in 2017. 

The report claims that Celtic could sign him for free next summer, agreeing to a pre-contract in January. However, it is also suggested that Celtic boss Neil Lennon would like to sign Osayi-Samuel this summer in a bargain deal.

It is also reported that the winger rejected a £4.7 million move to Belgian side Club Brugge, which would suggest the sort of price that 

 

It would be an interesting swoop for Celtic and would certainly help strengthen their current options on the wing. 

Osayi-Samuel would bring speed and trickery to the left-hand side and at the price-tag being discussed could also be a real bargain for the Bhoys. 

No doubt many fans will be hoping that Celtic can indeed secure a deal for the player this summer, rather than wait until next year.
