Magazine France Football has claimed that Celtic want to rake in as much as £15million for midfielder Olivier Ntcham, with duo Marseille and FC Porto interested in his signature.
The Daily Record claim that both sides are interested in 23-year-old Ntcham, with Porto reigniting their previous interest in the former Manchester City star after watching Ntcham in action on Monday.
The midfielder featured for France’s Under-21 side against Belgium and Porto scouts were in attendance. Andre Villas-Boas’ Marseille are also keen, having previously been linked with Ntcham.
Ntcham joined Celtic from Manchester City after a loan spell in Serie A with Genoa for just £4.5million (The Sun). He has been excellent during his two years in Glasgow, but did die off towards the end of last season.
He has played 85 times in all competitions for Celtic, scoring 15 goals and winning six trophies. Ntcham has three years remaining on the five-year deal he signed in the summer of 2017.
Ntcham’s declining form towards the end of the season may have affected Celtic’s chances of raking in £15million. Prior to that form, it would have been nailed on for the Hoops to receive such a fee.
Goals, passing, vision, stamina and aggression, Ntcham is an excellent central midfielder and can play in attacking or defensive midfield. But the Hoops may struggle to triple their initial outlay on Ntcham.
