Celtic will reportedly have to pay €5m (£4.2m) if they want to sign Stade Rennais talent Brandon Soppy this summer.
According to L’Equipe, the Ligue 1 side have slapped a £4.2m asking price for the 19-year-old right-back. As per the report, Celtic are particularly interested in Soppy.

However, five unnamed teams from across France, England and Italy are also keen on the youngster. Soppy’s deal with Rennes expires next year.
Ange Postecoglou is set on improving Celtic’s squad this summer. The Australian manager will be eager to add quality talent to the side if they are to challenge Rangers for the Scottish title next season.
With options at fullback thin, Soppy could be a good addition to Celtic this summer. The defender impressed last season for Rennes.

The youngster is also a full youth international with France, recently representing Les Bleus at U-18 level.
Moreover, Soppy’s contract makes it that Celtic have a strong bargaining position to sign the defender. As per L’Equipe, Rennes have offered the teenager an extension.
However, the player is no convinced by what the French side have offered Soppy.
Celtic face a race against time to beat the five unnamed clubs for Soppy. And with a price tag of just £4.2m, the Scottish giants could sign the defender on the cheap given his quality and potential.
