Celtic are reportedly interested in powerhouse forward Uche Ikpeazu from Scottish Premiership rivals Hearts.
According to West London Sport, the Bhoys have been showing an interest in the 24-year-old.
It is understood that QPR are another team monitoring the forward, while Wigan Athletic, Bristol City and Derby County have also watched the striker.
Ikpeazu is a centre-forward renowned for his strength that makes him a nuisance for defenders and he’s great with his back to goal.
He’s played 11 games across all competitions so far this season for Hearts, scoring two goals and supplying two assists in return.
Ikpeazu has scored 10 goals in 37 games since he joined Hearts and it’s hardly a prolific record that should excite Celtic fans.
He’s a hard working striker that on his day can be a real handful, but whether he’s got the qualities to compete for a position at Parkhead on a regular basis remains to be seen.
Bhoys striker Odsonne Edouard is lightyears ahead of him right now in terms of quality and he would have a battle to make it into Neil Lennon’s match day squad on a weekly basis.
The Scottish giants should be a little bit more ambitious if they do want to strengthen in attack during the January transfer window.
