Romanian outlet Gazeta Sporturilor have claimed that Celtic are set to complete a £3million move to sign CFR Cluj attacker Billel Omrani, after the Frenchman starred for his side against Celtic earlier this month.
Omrani, 26, scored a brace for Cluj in the second leg of the clash between the two sides, in the third round of Champions League qualifying. Cluj progressed into the Champions League play-off, with Omrani scoring twice at Parkhead.
The France under-19 international’s display caught the attention of Neil Lennon, and it looks as though the Hoops are now set to splash £3million on the former Marseille attacker. His form this season has been immense, with eight goals in 13 outings.
The Hoops are expected to be active in the final days of the window before Monday’s deadline, after bringing in Fraser Forster on loan from Southampton and Moritz Bauer on loan from Stoke. Now, Omrani could follow to Glasgow.

TBR’s view – Omrani will be an excellent signing for Celtic
With Scott Sinclair’s future in doubt at Celtic, Omrani is an excellent signing for Celtic. Other than the strikers, pressure is on James Forrest to regularly find the back of the net. He has scored five goals in nine games.
But if Celtic are to reach nine in a row and beyond that, 10, they need a left-winger to match the form of Forrest. Omrani showed at Parkehad that he has the quality to do just that in green and white.
