Celtic are reportedly ready to step up their pursuit of Huddersfield Town captain Tommy Smith.
According to The Daily Mail, the Hoops are looking to bolster their defensive options by landing Smith, who could cost around £3 million.

The 27-year-old, who has also attracted attention from Stoke City, has played 200 games for the Terriers and was a regular in the side during their two-year stint in the Premier League.
Celtic are in desperate need of a new right-back this summer, with Mikael Lustig having left the club after seven-and-a-half years.
The Swede was not handed a new deal by the club and neither was Cristian Gamboa.
TBR’s view
Smith would be a solid signing for Celtic.
He has good experience and leadership qualities, and his two seasons in the Premier League have confirmed his ability.

Smith has just 12 months left of his current deal so it’s a real chance for Celtic to get a discount on an energetic full-back who can defend.
Given Celtic’s position as a Champions League club, there’s a good chance Smith – who earns £20,000-a-week (Spotrac) could join the Hoops with no current competition for places.
