It appears a Celtic defender is a wanted man in the Premier League but it is not a player currently playing regularly at Parkhead. In fact, the player in question is not even currently with Celtic, having left the club on a loan deal at the start of the season.
Jack Hendry was reportedly the topic of a failed bid from Burnley this week, according to a report from 90min.
They suggest that the Clarets made an offer for Hendry, who is currently on loan at KV Oostende in Belgium.
Hendry has struggled at Celtic since his reported (BBC) £1.5 million move in 2018. Brendan Rodgers backed him to be a future Celtic star but he never won over the fans and his move to Oostende this summer contained a permanent option.
Since then, Hendry has found his form again.

The 25-year-old has become an ever-present in the Belgian side’s starting XI and is clearly catching the eye with his displays.
Does it mean a potential return to action at Celtic in the not so distant future?
That seems unlikely. Celtic are, according to the same report, open to selling him this month if an appropriate offer comes in.
Hendry might go on to become a player Celtic wish they had kept around but, for now, they appear more than happy to let him move on.
Fans at Parkhead will hope that does not end up being a mistake.
