Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor is reportedly a wanted man in this summer transfer window.
According to the Scotsman, there is “firm interest” in the 26-year-old and Leicester City are keen on a swoop.
It is understood that Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City are expected to make an offer in the coming weeks for him.
The report also details that Brighton and Watford are monitoring the situation of the central midfielder, who is valued at £10million by the Scottish giants.
With three English Premier League clubs chasing him, the report explains that McGregor does have ambitions to play in the division at some stage.
McGregor was an assists machine last season for the Bhoys, setting up 16 goals in 59 games across all competitions.
The Scotland international chipped in with six goals himself too and was an outstanding individual at Parkhead.
McGregor’s future should certainly be a concern for Celtic manager Neil Lennon and he will leave a major hole if he does exit this summer.
The left-footed ace has a tremendous work-rate that sees him set the tone in the centre of the park and he’s got the versatility to play anywhere across the midfield if needed.
His game has improved recently to a new level and he looks strong enough to make an impact in the Premier League if he gets the chance.
