The race for Kilmarnock full-back Greg Taylor is hotting up. Celtic are back in the hunt but they have been joined by Sunderland as the deadline approaches, The Daily Record is reporting.
Sunderland manager Jack Ross is trying to sign a new left-back before the end of the window. Denver Hume is the only recognised player in this position after the departure of Bryan Oviedo last season.
The Black Cats have been linked with Sheffield Wednesday’s Morgan Fox (The Northern Echo). But this report indicates that Taylor is now their latest target as Ross steps up his hunt.

Kilmarnock want £3m for the Scotland international, which initially put Celtic off. The Bhoys were looking elsewhere but have re-entered the race after Sunderland joined in. Kilmarnock have bids on the table from both clubs and Celtic have offered Jack Hendry as a makeweight in the deal.
TBR’s view
This transfer saga could go down to the wire. Both teams are desperate to sign a new left-back before the window closes and this is a priority. Neil Lennon has left it late but needs to address this before their European campaign hots up.
Taylor offers the perfect blend of youth and experience. For either Celtic or Sunderland, he could take his career to the next level, enhance his chances of playing for Scotland and try to win things.
