Celtic have reportedly joined the pursuit to try snap up Bolton midfielder Luca Connell.
According to the Scottish Sun, the Bhoys have made a late move for the 18-year-old.
It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers, Norwich City and Sheffield United have all shown an interest in signing him this summer and paying training compensation.
But the report details Celtic could land the teenager for a much lower cross-border tribunal fee and manager Neil Lennon is keen on bringing him to Parkhead.
Connell is still a third-year scholar at Bolton, but got a taste of first-team football last season.
His team were relegated from the Championship, but he appears to have a bright future in the game and there is widespread interest in him.
The left-footed ace usually plays as a defensive midfielder in front of the back four and can operate at full-back if needed too.
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail previously reported that Rangers were in the race for the Bolton wonderkid.

TBR’s View:
Lennon will be looking to make his stamp on Celtic this summer and bringing in a few fresh faces to reenergise the squad makes sense.
Connell is an exciting prospect that is mature beyond his years and did manage to catch the eye in a poor Bolton team.
The midfielder may not be ready to break into the Celtic XI immediately, but there is a lot of excitement around his future and it would be an exciting addition if the Scottish giants can win the chase for him.
