The Scottish Daily Mail (Wednesday, back page to 81) has claimed that Celtic have joined Leeds United and other Premier League clubs in the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur star Ryan Sessegnon on loan.
Sessegnon, 20, has struggled for game time under Jose Mourinho since the Portuguese boss replaced Mauricio Pochettino. He managed just 12 appearances last season with injury hampering his progress, while failing to play even once this season.
The signings of Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon are expected to keep Sessegnon on the sidelines this season – and the £25million (BBC) addition from Fulham is now allowed to leave the club on loan in order to get game time.
Celtic are said to be interested in luring Sessegnon north of the border, but face competition form Premier League clubs Leeds, Brighton and Southampton. European sides Ajax and Hertha Berlin are also supposedly interested.

TBR’s view – Sessegnon would thrive at Celtic
Certainly, the former Fulham man will regain his confidence in the Scottish Premiership. Taking on lesser defences with Celtic needing both a winger and a left-back, Sessegnon will get game time and have chances to score and create.
Celtic would take an enormous leap towards 10 in a row with the signing of Sessegnon, while the player himself would massively benefit with constant game time, European matches and the chance to win trophies. A win-win, for all involved.
