TeamTalk have claimed that Celtic intermediaries have approached West Ham United manager David Moyes over a move north of the border this summer, as his Hammers contract expires at the end of the season. But he is expected to remain.
Moyes has already responded to questions over his future amid being linked with Celtic, given that he came through the academy at Parkhead as a player. The Scottish manager has taken the Hammers into European contention this season.
The former Manchester United, Everton, Sunderland and Real Sociedad boss has revived a West Ham side in his second spell at the club – who were initially in a relegation scrap when Moyes took over from Manuel Pellegrini.
Moyes has been heavily praised as in the running for the Manager of the Season award – especially if the Hammers finish in the top six. Celtic have made contact, but the Hammers are looking to sign him on to a new deal, and he is likely to sign.

TBR’s view – Moyes would be a great appointment, but no chance
If Moyes gives up the chance to take West Ham into Europe, then he would be making a poor decision. He has worked hard in both spells as West Ham boss, and it appears that Hammers fans finally trust their current manager.
He has instilled a identity with Michail Antonio, Declan Rice and plenty more proving crucial to that. Europe is a proper possibility and would be a huge achievement – he will have a West Ham side that boasts enormous potential.
He would be a great appointment for Celtic and there is a chance he could manage Celtic in the future, but right now? No.
