Celtic are said to have been looking at Austria U21 international Husein Balic in recent months.
According to the Mail on Sunday, the Hoops have been monitoring the LASK star, who is also on the radars of Premier League club Southampton and Championship outfit Brentford.
Balic is rated at around £2.8 million by his club, and carries the nickname ‘The Sprinter’ for his searing pace.

Supposedly, Balic has been clocked running 20 metres in just 2.75 seconds (for the Austria U21s vs France) and is said to be one of the quickest players around.
That speed has helped him to scored four goals in 11 appearances so far this season.
Balic has a contract with LASK until 2024, but the club – like many others right now – are feeling the financial pinch and may be forced to cash in on the exciting player in January.
TBR’s View – Fresh impetus needed for Celtic
Balic could be one to keep an eye on for Celtic.

At the moment, the Hoops are struggling – their Europa League campaign appears to be done and dusted, while Rangers are nine points ahead in the Premiership, although Steven Gerrard’s side have played two games more.
Celtic have been toiling defensively, but having a player that can compete with the likes of James Forrest and Moi Elyounoussi surely can’t hurt.
