Celtic have already made contact with the representatives of former England number one Joe Hart regarding a potential move to Glasgow this summer.
Record Sport is reporting that Celtic chiefs have already been in touch to let Hart know of their interest in signing the 75-cap England international.
Hart is set to become a free agent at the end of the month with Burnley not willing to offer him a new deal at Turf Moor.
The two-time Premier League winner is being eyed as a potential alternative to Fraser Forster, who spent last season on loan at Parkhead.
The Telegraph is reporting that Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl is ready to take another look at Forster this summer after his excellent campaign at Celtic.
The Saints have concerns over the form of current stoppers Alex McCarthy and Angus Gunn.
Celtic are seemingly not willing to wait around for Southampton’s decision and see the 33-year-old Hart as a perfect potential replacement between the sticks.
Whilst Hart’s stock has dropped in recent years, after his indifferent stints at West Ham and Burnley, his excellent record in the game undoubtedly makes him an intriguing proposition for the Celtic recruitment team.
With him available on a free and Forster potentially out of reach, it could prove to be a real coup.
