Albanian outlet Sport Ekspres have claimed that Celtic have made an initial offer to sign FC Twente midfielder Lindon Selahi – but the Dutch Eredivisie side have rejected the Scottish champions’ bid.
Belgium-born Selahi, 21, joined FC Twente last summer from Standard Liege and has clocked up 26 senior appearances for the Eredivisie outfit – as they finished above a relegation dogfight in 14th place.
Selahi – now a fully-fledged international with Albania – even scored two goals for Twente this season. A number of clubs are said to have been made aware of Selahi’s form, and Celtic have tabled an offer to sign him.
Able to play in a number of positions – including as a 10, a box-to-box midfielder or even in front of the defence – Selahi will only leave if a ‘high offer’ is tabled. Seemingly, Celtic did not meet Twente’s requirements.
Transfermarkt claim he has the same agent as Kris Ajer.

TBR’s view – Selahi a potential replacement for Ntcham?
Ntcham has been linked with a number of clubs over the past couple of seasons and this summer, the Frenchman is likely to be touted around Europe once again – after being in and out of the side under Neil Lennon.
Certainly, Lennon seems to prefer combining Scottish trio Ryan Christie, Scott Brown and Callum McGregor – leaving Ntcham to feed off scraps. Celtic have plenty of options in midfield, but signing Selahi could be a sign Ntcham is on the transfer list.
