Celtic have reportedly been joined by English Premier League outfit Bournemouth in the hunt for Luton Town defender Jack Stacey.

According to the Daily Mail, Bournemouth are eyeing in the right-back and the report credits the Scottish champions with an interest.

Meanwhile, the Sun previously reported that Celtic and Stoke City are chasing Stacey this summer.

It is understood that the pair have both made enquires about a potential £2million swoop for the defender.

The 23-year-old helped Luton Town achieve promotion from League One last season as champions in England and is now attracting several suitors.

He is an attack-minded right-back that scored four goals and laid on eight assists in 50 games across all competitions during the last season for Luton.

TBR’s View:

The introduction of Bournemouth to the race for Stacey may complicate things, but at the moments it’s Celtic and Stoke that look more likely to swoop following their initial enquiries.

The full-back is clearly a rising talent that has the potential to play at a higher level than League One and it will be intriguing to see if he’s snapped up this summer.

Neil Lennon’s Celtic could definitely do with an attacking right-back like him in their squad for next season, but the step up to try compete in European football would be a big one.
