According to a report from The Mirror, Celtic could make a move for Burnley winger Robbie Brady this summer, with a potential freebie on the cards for Neil Lennon.

Brady has yet to sign a new deal with the Clarets. At 29, he’ll be looking for a decent contract as he enters his 30s, and Celtic could well provide him with a new challenge.

The winger, who can also slot in at left-back if needed, has been a regular for the Republic of Ireland for a number of years now, winning 54 caps in an impressive international career.

With over 150 Premier League appearances to his name, Brady is more than established in England. However, Burnley have yet to come to terms on a new contract with the Irishman. Celtic, then, appear ready to swoop and add a player of real quality to the ranks for nothing.

Brady has started 12 PL games this season for Sean Dyche, contributing a single goal and assist in those appearances thus far.

TBR View: Celtic could do far worse here, Brady has lots of quality

Robbie Brady seems to have been around for a long time now but is still only 29, meaning he has plenty left in the tank for now.

Celtic would appear, on paper, to be a good destination for the Irishman to continue his career away from Turf Moor. Of course, he might choose to stay put in the end.

But in terms of free transfers and players who would bring quality, experience, and versatility to Celtic, they won’t come much better than Brady in the summer months.
