Celtic are reportedly one of six clubs keeping an eye on Livingston goalkeeper Liam Kelly ahead of the summer.

According to the Scottish Sun, Scottish Premiership outfit Livingston could lose their shot-stopper in the summer for a bargain fee.

It is understood that he’s available for just £50,000 due to a clause in his contract, which was inserted when he joined from Rangers last summer.

The report details that English clubs Ipswich, Wigan, Barnsley and Reading are all interested in the 23-year-old, while German side Hamburg are too.

Meanwhile, Celtic are mentioned as potential suitors for the Scottish bargain, but don’t believe he would want to play a back-up role with them.

TBR’s View:

Surely Celtic won’t be able to bring in Kelly during the summer, as he’s a Rangers product and spent most of his career with their Old Firm rivals at Ibrox.

His bargain price certainly makes him an attractive option for many teams and he’s impressed with some strong individual displays this season.

He’s made 41 appearances across all competitions this term and kept an impressive 17 clean sheets in return.

Kelly would certainly help crank up competition if he arrived at Celtic and would be worth the minor investment, but they don’t feel they can tempt him without the guarantee of the number one position.
