A report from The Scottish Sun has suggested that Celtic have begun talks with Odsonne Edouard over a new contract amid interest from elsewhere, with both Leeds United and Arsenal being linked with a move for the striker in recent times.
Edouard is gearing up for what will be his fourth season at Parkhead. He has already scored 62 goals for the club in all competitions, and he does not turn 23 until next January.
It should come as no surprise therefore, that a host of sides appear to be interested in signing the Frenchman.
The Daily Mirror reported in March that Arsenal want Edouard this summer, while the same publication has more recently suggested that Leeds plan to target Edouard should they seal promotion.
Since then, the Whites have taken another big step towards reaching the Premier League. But it appears that Celtic have made their own strides towards ensuring that Edouard goes nowhere this summer.
The Scottish Sun has suggested that the Hoops have begun talks with Edouard over a new contract at Parkhead.

Of course, a contract extension may not deter Edouard’s admirers. But it will send out a big statement, and it will leave Celtic in an incredibly strong position.
The Bhoys can demand even more for their talisman. And the likes of Leeds and Arsenal will know that they have may have to do a lot more if they hope to convince Edouard to make a move this summer.
