Celtic have made an enquiry for Cameron Carter-Vickers but any loan deal for the Spurs defender is looking unlikely, according to Sky Sports’ live transfer blog (31/8; 15:46).
Carter-Vickers is one of the players linked with a move away from Tottenham in this window.

He has actually returned to the periphery of the first-team fold under Nuno Espirito Santo after six spells out on loan.
The USMNT international even started in the Europa Conference League for Tottenham. Nevertheless, a move could still take place.
And Ange Postecoglou was interested in bringing him to Parkhead, it seems.

According to Sky Sports’ live transfer blog, Celtic made an enquiry about taking the 23-year-old on loan.
Unfortunately, it is claimed that a move is looking unlikely. Spurs would also prefer to sell Carter-Vickers permanently.
Carter-Vickers’ contract expires next summer, so you can understand why Tottenham were reluctant to sanction yet another loan.
Carter-Vickers needs a move as Celtic eye Spurs starlet
Despite featuring under Nuno, it does appear that Carter-Vickers needs to secure a move away from North London.
Spurs now have a lot of depth in their defence. So it is hard to see Carter-Vickers featuring too often should he stick around.
A switch to Celtic could have been a really good opportunity for the centre-back. Postecoglou is still building his squad at Parkhead.
Agreeing a deal is not going to be easy. But Carter-Vickers arguably needs a move.
And Spurs would probably benefit from securing a deal. So perhaps it may be too soon to write a deal off.
