Report: Cedric will leave Arsenal with Newcastle ready to make offer
Cedric Soares will leave Arsenal in the summer with Newcastle United ready to offer the full-back a fresh challenge, according to a report from Tuttomercatoweb.
Cedric has been a decent performer for the Gunners. His form has come in for criticism at times. But he has done a reasonable job stepping in for Takehiro Tomiyasu this season.
His contract has two years left to run at the end of the campaign. But it would seem that he is set to leave the Emirates in the coming months.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Cedric will leave Arsenal this summer. Porto have made a bid of less than £4.2 million (€5 million). But there is also interest from Newcastle.
The Magpies are interested in the Portuguese due to his ability to play on either flank.
Arsenal may be better off keeping Newcastle target Cedric if offers stand around £4.2 million
Arsenal fans may not mind seeing Cedric leave, even if he stays in the Premier League and joins Newcastle. He is not on the same sort of level as Tomiyasu or Kieran Tierney.
However, he has the ability to produce some big performances. Gilberto Silva has previously labelled him ‘fantastic‘. And as cover, Arsenal may struggle to sign many better players.
Certainly, if the offers coming in are worth less than £5 million, then the Gunners may surely be better off holding onto him for another year.
Nuno Tavares cost the club almost double that amount. And he appears to be some way short of being the finished article at the moment. So signing a replacement for Cedric may set Arsenal back quite a bit. And that is not ideal when there are other priorities.
