Belgian newspaper HLN have claimed that Timothy Castagne could make a decision on his future as early as this week with Tottenham said to be winning the race – as the Atalanta star prepares to face Paris Saint-Germain.
The Italians take on PSG in the Champions League quarter-finals and while Belgium international Castagne remains focused on the match, the report claims he will decide on his future when Atalanta are knocked out.
That could be to PSG on Wednesday night. The 24-year-old has been in stunning form this season, playing a crucial part in Atalanta’s excellent season – but he has entered the final 12 months of his contract with the Serie A outfit.
Spurs are keen and with Castagne dreaming of a move to England, Jose Mourinho’s men lead PSG and a number of Spanish sides in the race. It is believed Atalanta want at least £18million for the defender.

TBR’s view – Castagne would be the ideal right-back signing
Linked with the Premier League for a number of seasons, Castagne is ideal for Tottenham. More than willing to get forward, Castagne is just as good when it comes to defending and has shown that this season.
Serge Aurier is being linked with a move to Milan, and while he is excellent going forward – he is a liability in defence. Mourinho will much prefer to have a Castagne than an Aurier and at £18million, he is a bargain.
