Carlo Ancelotti has a new number one centre-back target for the summer, and it is a name that will be familiar to Everton fans.
It is being reported by Le10 Sport that Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is now the main centre-back transfer target for Everton this summer.
It is suggested that Everton have given up on Gabriel Magalhaes, with the Lille defender on his way to Napoli. Other options include Boubacar Kamara and Thiago Silva but Everton are now set to make a move to bring Zouma back to Goodison Park.
Leicester City are also said to be keen, however, Everton will feel they have an advantage considering his previous loan spell on Merseyside.
Last summer, Everton were keen on securing Zouma on a permanent deal. As reported by the BBC Sport, Everton failed in a £30 million permanent pursuit as Chelsea sold David Luiz to Arsenal.

Zouma showcased some excellent form during his time at Everton and the Toffees want further coverage at centre-back, despite the impressive improved form from both Michael Keane and Mason Holgate.
Zouma explained to The Mirror, after his loan deal ended at Everton, that he ‘enjoyed’ his time at Goodison Park and that Everton made him ‘a better player’.
He has also dropped down the pecking order at Chelsea once again and will no doubt want regular first-team football.
Everton fans will no doubt welcome the French colossus back this summer.
