Everton prospect Isaac Price has reportedly caught the eye of manager Carlo Ancelotti in a positive way since he stepped up into the first-team fold.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the 17-year-old has “impressed” senior Toffees manager Ancelotti when training with the main group.
He’s yet to make his first-team debut for the Merseyside club, but he was named on the bench for Monday’s Premier League fixture against Brighton.
The report explains he wouldn’t have been part of the senior match day squad if Ancelotti didn’t have faith in him, albeit injuries opened up positions on the bench.
It is added that Everton coach Leighton Baines has helped him make the step up through the various academy age groups.
Price was playing in the Under-18s side at the beginning of this season, but has been with the Under-23s group since the turn of the year.
The teenage central midfielder is now starting regularly for the Under-23s, and it’s seen him around the outskirts of the first-team squad.

TBR’s View:
If Price is good enough, Ancelotti is the kind of manager that would be prepared to play him.
The midfield talent is going to learn so much being around the senior group in training, and right now he’ll be like a sponge absorbing tips from household names like James Rodriguez and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
He’s been at Goodison Park since he joined Everton aged 17, signing his first professional deal last September.
