The Telegraph have claimed that the growing trend of Bundesliga clubs raiding English sides for fresh new talent is set to continue this summer, with both Arsenal and Tottenham talents being eyed in Germany.
Jadon Sancho is the prime example, shining for Borussia Dortmund and having a hand in 36 goals during his 35 games this season. Now an 11-time England international, Sancho made the absolute correct decision to leave Manchester City.
It has seen many follow suit. Ademola Lookman completed a permanent move to RB Leipzig last summer after a loan spell, while Ethan Ampadu is on loan at Leipzig. Jonjoe Kenny is on loan at Schalke and is believed to want a permanent deal.
Now, the report claims German sides want Tottenham’s Japhet Tanganga and Arsenal’s Buakyo Saka this summer – with contracts for the two stars still up in the air. Both players have contracts for little more than 12 months.
TBR’s view – Tottenham and Arsenal need to act quickly
In fact, they should have signed the duo yesterday. Looking at Tottenham’s squad, Tanganga is certainly the most exciting young player in the squad – even more so than Troy Parrott. He has been a rare shining light in Spurs’ 2019-20 campaign.
Even more so, Saka is becoming an important part of Arsenal’s squad and is close to making the left flank his own. Both players are huge talents and future England internationals. Their contracts should have been sorted so much sooner than now.
