According to a report from Leeds Live (15:02), Ben White has played enough games to ensure that Brighton and Hove Albion cannot recall the defender from his loan spell at Leeds United in January.
White looks to have the potential to go down as one of the club’s most inspired signings for some time. The 22-year-old has started every Championship game for Marcelo Bielsa’s side so far this term.

And it appears that most fans are already convinced that he is an upgrade on Pontus Jansson after his surprise departure in the summer.
His form however, did leave the Elland Road faithful with one big concern going into January. The last thing Leeds needed was for the Seagulls to decide to recall the youngster for the second-half of the campaign.

But it appears that that is no longer an option. Leeds Live were asked about White’s situation during a Q&A, and they have reported that he has played enough games to ensure that he will ‘definitely’ remain at Leeds for the entirety of the campaign.

It is about as big a boost as Leeds fans could get finding out that White is reportedly set to stay for the season. Losing him in January would have been a huge blow. And replacing him would have arguably been nearly impossible, particularly during the winter window.
Leeds are yet to hit top gear this season. But if White maintains his current form alongside Liam Cooper, it looks inevitable that the club will find themselves right in the promotion mix come the end of the campaign.
And if Leeds are promoted, perhaps there may just be the slightest chance that the Whites could actually set their sights on a permanent move for the defender. He will not come cheap. But Leeds would be foolish not to see if there is any hope.
