Offers have supposedly been tabled for Said Benrahma, with West Ham United and Crystal Palace the two sides in hunt for the player.
Le10 Sport have reported today that Brentford’s wing wizard is the subject of heavy interest from the Premier League sides.
Apparently, proposals slightly below €20 million/£18 million have arrived for the player, although it is not specified if that is indeed an offer from each team.
Brentford supposedly want closer to €25 million/£22.7 million in order to part with the star.
The publication adds that the saga is nearing its end though, and that Benrahma should have a move to the Premier League sorted very soon.
The Algerian has been constantly in the papers this window with regard to him leaving Griffin Park, after having another fine campaign in 2019/20.
Benrahma scored 17 goals and made 10 assists in 43 appearances, and routinely dazzled with his brilliant footwork and mazy dribbling.
TBR’s View – West Ham have got to beat Palace
So it seems as though something could happen with Benrahma very soon.
West Ham need to make sure they beat Palace to the 25-year-old, who could make the world of difference for the Irons.
Obviously the Hammers need defensive reinforcements as well, but Benrahma could have a Jarrod Bowen-style effect for the club.
He is a huge talent, and has the potential to be a firm crowd favourite at the London Stadium, as well as provide Felipe Anderson with some much-needed competition.
