Bournemouth have been told that Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion would be prepared to pay £15 million for Josh King, which is more than what West Ham United hope to offer, according to a report from The Sun.

King is one of the most highly sought-after players on the market this month. He is out of contract at the end of the season, and he has scored 48 Premier League goals during his career.

West Ham are reportedly keen on King as Sebastien Haller closes in on sealing a move away. However, it appears that two of their top flight rivals may be in the driving seat.

Bournemouth value King at £15 million. And The Sun reports that the Cherries have been told that both Newcastle and the Baggies are willing to meet that asking price.

West Ham meanwhile, reportedly value King at £13 million – the same amount they offered in the summer.

It will be incredibly frustrating for Hammers supporters if King heads elsewhere this month. If West Ham are willing to pay £13 million once again, then they are clearly admirers of the Norwegian.

That is already a lot to pay for a player whose contract expires in the summer. Adding a further £2 million to their bid seems to be an obvious decision when other clubs are already willing to meet that figure.

It would certainly not go down well if he heads elsewhere because West Ham were unwilling to increase their bid a little further.
