Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic is reportedly a target for Bundesliga outfit Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Daily Mail have claimed the Serbia international could be one of a few players sold by the Reds in order to balance the books after recent deals for Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara and Diogo Jota.

The publication say Grujic has interest from Champions League club Gladbach, whose coaches and officials have seen the player up close over the past couple of seasons.

Grujic spent 2018/19 and 2019/20 on loan at Hertha Berlin, and has played three times against the club.

It seems Gladbach see Grujic as a realistic transfer opportunity, with Fabinho and new signing Thiago both blocking his route to regular minutes at Anfield.

Last month, Goal reported Grujic’s valuation to be around the £20 million mark, and one wouldn’t put it past Michael Edwards to secure such a fee.

The club’s sporting director has been responsible for some great sales in recent times such as as Mamadou Sakho, Jordon Ibe, Dominic Solanke and Ryan Kent.

It is probably time for the club to cash ion on the 24-year-old, and there is every chance Edwards can get a decent fee for a player who still has three years left on his contract.

Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out, but there’s every chance he could become a star over in Germany.
