Report: Borussia Dortmund ready to snatch Bukayo Saka from Arsenal

Arsenal face increased competition in their attempts to keep hold of Bukayo Saka, with German side Borussia Dortmund now reportedly keen.

That is according to a report from The Mirror. They suggest that Dortmund are looking to raid the English market once again, as they did previously with Jadon Sancho.

Saka has caught their eye, with the left-back excelling under Mikel Arteta in recent months. Arsenal may struggle to keep hold of the teenager, whose current £3,000-a-week contract expires in 2021.

Arsenal are hoping to secure him to a new deal, but Dortmund, as well as Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich are now attentive to his potential availability.

Arsenal will undoubtedly be desperate to keep hold of Saka. Indeed, a recent report from The Sun suggested Arsenal could increase the 18-year-old’s wages to £35,000-a-week.

Dortmund could point to the success of Sancho in Germany as a major reason for Saka to consider a move to Germany. The England winger has been one of the Bundesliga’s best players this term and is being linked with a mega-money move back to the Premier League this summer.

Arsenal fans will just be hoping that they can keep hold of the left-back, who has proven to be such a hit at The Emirates this term.
