Ryan Hardie is a transfer target for Blackpool. According to The Scotsman, Blackpool are trying to lure Hardie south of the border with a move to Bloomfield Road.
Blackpool currently play in League One – the third tier of English football. And the Tangerines want a new striker with Hardie at the top of their summer wishlist.
Hardie spent last season on loan at Livingston, scoring seven times in 22 appearances. He spent the 2017/18 season with Livingston too, scoring eight goals in 16 Scottish Championship games to seal promotion.
The Scotland youth international has also spent time on loan with Raith Rovers and St Mirren. He could leave Rangers with 17 appearances and two goals to his name.
It is not clear whether Blackpool want to sign him permanently or on loan. But either way, the Seasiders are hoping to get this deal finalised in the coming days.
Ryan Hardie: Keep, loan or sell?
Rangers face a difficult call this summer over Hardie. Is it time to integrate him into the first-team, sell him or loan him out again?
The 22-year-old is under contract at Ibrox until summer 2020 so it might be the best time to sell him. But this depends on whether Steven Gerrard sees a future for the youngster.
Not including Hardie in his pre-season plans suggests that Gerrard is ready to let him go. Zak Rudden might have overtaken Hardie in the pecking order at Ibrox.
