Besiktas have previously been linked with Everton duo Ademola Lookman and Cenk Tosun. And now Besiktas want Yannick Bolasie, according to Turkish media outlet Sporx.
Three Everton players are on Besiktas’ radar. Besiktas and Everton have a good relationship after the amicable transfer of Tosun to Goodison Park in January 2018.
Tosun has been linked with a return to Besiktas (Fanatik). The Turkey international has been a flop in the Premier League and could reignite his career in the Super Lig.
Besiktas also reportedly want Lookman (Fanatik). The 21-year-old struggled for game time last season and could be on his way out of the Merseyside club on loan or permanently.
Bolasie is now the third Everton player on Besiktas’ wishlist. The 30-year-old spent last season out on loan at Aston Villa and Anderlecht as Marco Silva sees no future for him at Everton.
The DR Congo international, who is currently preparing for the AFCON, reportedly earns £70k-per-week (The Birmingham Mail). And Everton would surely be keen to get those high wages off their books.
Everton need to find a way to get Bolasie off their wage bill. The ex-Crystal Palace man has little chance of breaking back into the Everton team after his long-term injury from December 2016 to December 2017.
He still has two years remaining on his contract, though, and clubs are unlikely to pay a big fee for him. Bolasie could end up leaving on loan again with Besiktas a possibility.
