Goal have claimed that Bayern Munich have reached a deadlock with highly-rated teenager English Jamal Musiala as the playmaker demands a whopping £100,000 a week – and Liverpool are keeping tabs on the situation.
Musiala, 17, is quickly emerging as one of England’s brightest talents. Having left Chelsea to join Bayern in the summer of 2019, he instantly impressed for their Under-17 and reserve sides and was fast-tracked into the first team.
Like Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham at Dortmund, Musiala has taken the Bundesliga route to fast-track his pathway into senior football. It has worked, playing 19 times for Bayern and scoring three goals.
However, he has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Bayern. Indeed, it is claimed that he wants a huge £100,000 a week – something that Bayern are unwilling to offer. Deadlock has been reached.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are said to be monitoring the situation – and a return to England could be on the cards for the England Under-21 star who netted for Aidy Boothroyd’s side in a 5-0 win over Albania.

TBR’s view – Musiala’s demands are enormous
But it is clear, and almost obvious, that he is going to become a star. Wherever that is, though, remains to be seen – though he has broken Bayern records, becoming their youngest ever player – and scorer.
He is likely to think that he has already shown he is worth the £100,000-a-week wages and that if he was showing the form he is showing at 25, he would be on a contract like that. If Bayern do not table the offer, someone else will.
